Boysenberry

What a cute, tart flavor, boysenberry! This is the one everyone rants and raves over! I will tell you the best secret with it, too! Keep it on the down low, but less is more with this berry! The ranges of use I have seen, I swear I should be bald! Shush tho, if someone likes this flavor at 3-13%, Bob is Your uncle, not mine! ūüôā ¬†So let me get on with this, eh?

When I played the ranges with this cutie, going from 2 drops .04 grams up to 10 drops .20 grams (mind you, my drops are still 50 drops for a ml) in a 10ml bottle; at 2 drops .04 grams, I got a light taste of berries, almost immediately after sitting overnight. So I grab my coffee, and kick back. The next one I snagged was the 10 drops .20 grams for giggles. When I popped it up on my dripper, I didn’t know what to think at first. A bit like chemical candy, with a back taste I did not appreciate. Who really thought this flavor thru, is what I was thinking. However, glancing down, yeps it was the 10 drop bottle, no wonder! A quick cotton change up, and I was back on my way, with a few moments to tell my taste buds to buckle up, let’s find that perfect boysenberry spot! 6 drops .12 grams was still a bit strong, and a touch of funky on the exhale.. so, I went to 4 drops .08, and omgosh.. like someone handed me some berries that could pass for candy, but yet still, that real fruit explosion going on in my mouth! This is it, for me. Your journey might vary!

So now.. for a good recipe to share for tonight, the last one for the day. Let me see what I have in my big notebook; something I really did enjoy using.

Boysenberry Cobbler with Cream 30ml

12 drops .24 grams Boysenberry
6 drops .12 grams Lemonade
6 drops .12 grams Cream
3 drops .06 grams Apple Filling
3 drops .06 grams Crunch Cereal
3 drops .06 grams Cookie
3 drops .06 grams Ginger

Okay now we can taste flavors!! Yes indeed, let this one sit around for a few days to maybe 5 days, at the most, if’n you cna keep your paws off it! I think this is all self explanatory, the apple filling helps to support the crunch cereal and the cookie to create the cobbler! Yes, cobbler taste here! ginger is here, because it just brings out the depth in the cobbler and keeps me happy. If you do not like it, you do not have to use it, but it does make a really nice taste! ūüôā

Happy vaping! If you like this one, or have one to share, drop me a note, as I love feedback! ūüôā ~S.

Bourbon

Bottoms UP, one shot bourbon, on the rocks or straight from the bottle! According to Liquor.com, let me quote ”¬†Bourbon & American Whiskey’s roots go back to the late 1700s, when westbournd British, Irish and Scottish settlers started making whiskey in Kentucky. In 1964, the US Congress established federal regulations for producing the spirit. All American whiskeys are distilled from a fermented mash (mixture) of cereal grain and water without any coloring or flavoring additives. Unlike Scotch or cognac, American whiskey must by law be aged in new, charred oak barrels and no more than 160-proof (80% alcohol by volume). In order to be classified as “straight” whiskey, it must be aged for at least two years and unblended. American whiskey’s entail: rye, rye malt, malt, wheat, bourbon, corn, and Tennessee whiskey, which is a special classification of Bourbon. Bourbon must be made from a mash that is at least 51% corn. The rest of the mash is made up of rye, wheat and/or malted barley. While most bourbon today is still made in Kentucky, it can legally be made anywhere in the United States. The spirit‚Äôs beautiful amber color comes from the wood that it’s aged in for at least two years while the alcohol by volume climbs to a minimum of 40% (80-proof) before bottling.” <end quote. You can go there to read more and to pick up some fantastic recipes, some are my favorites!

For the sake of this tho, let’s focus on the bourbon! This one is super strong, just like the real stuff! Show some respect for it and you will go very far! If you use too much, you will discover one of it’s quirks, chocolate, and then chemicals with mutations (there goes the zombies!) With the bourbon, I know by experience, 1 drop ¬†.02 grams in 30ml is a good start, 2 drops .04 grams is really pushing your luck, and 3 drops .06 grams will show you a chocolate chemical taste, so yes, go easy with this, alright!
Onto my recipe! Let me see what I have for everyone.. ūüėČ

Whiskey Sours 30ml

2 drops .04 grams Bourbon
6 drops .12 grams Lemonade
6 drops .12 grams Rainier Cherry
6 drops .12 grams Sour Apple**
2 drops .08 grams Lime Wedge**
4 drops .08 grams Sweetness

Whiskey Sours are one of my favs, both for vaping and as a cocktail. Relaxing, especially those late night times to kick back!
Here I used not only the original recipe idea, I spiked it with a sour apple for the bitter, and lime wedge for a contrast, those are optional, make one with and one without, to see what you like! Enjoy! ūüôā

Blueberry Muffin

Oh where, oh where did my blueberry muffin go off to? ha! I found it in the pocket of one of my friends, heading out the door, that is where! This flavor here, as a solo, needs support. Could I add in other things to it to make like blue-cran muffins or something? Possible, but overdoing it can ruin the flavor profile you might want to try, so use it with a bit of respect. This is more of a Martha White type muffin, fine and delicate, rather than a county muffin, roughly made.

So my experience with this finely made muffin, is the muffin lacks a bit. If used lightly at 2 drops .04 grams. , the muffin is more cream like, if used too heavy 6 drops .12 grams , the blueberries take over and the muffin bit just falls apart. Don’t take this as bad, it is not, by far a bad flavor! Let me show you how I worked with it to make a really nice recipe out of what could be a solo stand alone..

Blueberry Muffin Cupcakes 30ml

12 drops .24 grams blueberry muffins
6 drops .12 grams blueberry
6 drops .12 grams red raspberry
9 drops .18 grams pound cake
6 drops .12 grams cupcake batter
3 drops .06 grams cheesecake
3 drops .06 grams sweetness**
3 drops .06 grams AP 5%

Let this one sit up for around 3-5 days before really taste testing it. You can taste it earlier, but go slow and remember, they all have to become happy with each other, before you will be happy with the flavor profile. Using the cake and batter, it supports the muffin mix, while allowing the blueberry to pop out.. the raspberry cream cheese icing is made by using the cheesecake and sweetness together and it’s just the bomb! If you like it more cake like, you need your friend AP.. ¬†Adjust the sweetness to suit yourself!

Blueberry

What’s blue and can go squish in your mouth, it’s a blueberry! Flavorah got it right with this one; it’s one of my favorite berries I love to play with I have tossed it into all sorts of recipes and have even used it in sugar cookies, cakes, yogurts and ice creams. Will have to work up my tutorial for adding our flavors to actual food and drink recipes soon, so keep your eyes out!

Before I get too far ahead, let me tell you all about this cool blueberry! at 2 drops .06 grams in 10ml bottles, it’s light, however, if you add other fruits, you can tell it is there. at 4 drops .08 grams it starts to perk up and say hi; it’s right there, the magic begins! at 6 drops .12 grams it’s a mouth full of gorgeous blueberries ready to burst into your mouth, down your chin and make your girl friend gasp! 8 drops .16 grams it starts going funky to me, so I will stop there for now..

Recipes.. I had a hard time picking out a simple recipe, as most of mine are rather complex.. but try this and see how it will spin out for you!

Blueberry French Toast 30ml

12 drops .24 grams blueberry
6 drops .12 grams red raspberry
9 drops .18 grams cinnamon roll
6 drops .12 grams sweet dough
6 drops .12 grams cream
1 drop .02 grams biscotti

Alright, let’s get down to this one.. I didn’t use the full in my face flavor level here for the blueberry, as I know using other flavors, I want to watch how much I use total, and If the blueberry is in your face, how can the other flavors play nice all together? It won’t, it will become a chemical, muted juice real quick!

The red raspberry is added because yes, I love that one just as much as blueberry lol.. it’s also there for a bit of tart and sour sweetness.

Cinnamon roll and the sweet dough go hand in hand together here, ¬†the biscotti I used as an accent for a smoky note for the french toast edges. If you are brave, bump it up a drop! If you want more bready note, remember our friend, ap 5%, use that at around 4 drops .12 grams in your 30ml bottle. I used cream for the whipped topping, however, when it does sit around, it tends to soften the french toast effect. You can add more, but then it’s be a creamy doughy blue raspberry.. gee.. haha! Oh.. if you’d like to really make it pop, add 1 drop .02 grams of pineapple or lime!

Hope you enjoy my recipe for blueberries, and if you have one you’d like to share.. pop it up in comments! ~S.

Blood Orange

OMG!! Finally, my favorite out of everything, blood orange!! Then again, I say this about almost every flavor! I do have a few I have to sit back and say, do I really want to claim this as a favorite? ha!
So, with all that said, let me get right down with this flavor, as it is one of the best representations of the citrus family, with it’s lush bright orange, the bloody sweetness, and the almost candy tones of this one.

Going thru my ranges again, at 2 drops .06 grams, its light but good! Easy on the mouth, but you will need to raise it more! At 4 drops .08 grams, it’s a fantastic blood orange being on the verge of juices running into your mouth, and at 6 drops .12 grams, look out!
9 drops .18 grams, you can probably make aspirin, that chewable kind, combined with Tangerine. Remember, less is more and it doesn’t take much with these flavors, at all! So, let’s see what recipe I can share..

Blood Orange Cake Batter 30ml

12 drops .24 grams Blood Orange
9 drops .18 grams Cake Batter
6 drops .12 grams Red Raspberry
6 drops .12 grams Vanilla Pudding
6 drops .12 grams Caramel
6 drops .12 grams Cheesecake

Let sit for at least a few days, but after a overnight sit you can try it out. Just remember to stop after a taste or two, or you will find yourself with an empty bottle. Go big or stay home!
Not responsible for empty bottles!

Note: I like to add in pineapple, 1-2 drops, to make this pop. it’s optional!

Edit: 5/23/2017 Yet another recipe I want to share!! It’s really simple yet so good!

blood orange basil
Blood Orange Basil Cocktail
12 drops .24 grams Blood Orange
3 drops .06 grams Cotton candy
2 drops .04 grams Marshmallow
6 drops .12 grams Cream
3 drops .06 grams Basil

This is simple, fresh and omg too good. If you want, you can add 1-2 drops of bourbon¬†to this too, for a more realistic cocktail taste. The basil just makes this all come about, so cool calm and a touch of spice.. it’s really a must try! ūüôā

Black Cherry

Nothing finer than playing around with black cherry! The drinks and pies, along with creams, shakes, nuts and tobaccos you can dream up, come out amazing! Be careful tho, using too much of this one will result in a chemical and or a mutation, so go easy! This cherry is not for everyone!

Running the range, from 1 drop .02 grams (show some respect for this flavor!) up to 8 drops .16 grams (yes I went there!) in my 10ml bottles, after letting them sit for a few days, 1 drop was very weak, but I did pick up the cherry. At 3 drops .06 grams a spot on black cherry, with skin and a touch of that black cherry body; while 6 drops .12 grams, I can tell I pushed it too much, and picked up a wang to the flavor. At 8 drops .16 grams in my 10ml, I had a definite black cherry with a funky chunky monkey sitting on my taste buds! So my advise is to keep it around 3-5 drops. Pushing it further than this will result in either mutating the flavor as either time goes on, or as a chemical note.

Black Cherry’s Shirley Temple 30ml

12 drops .24 grams Black Cherry
3 drops .06 grams Lime Wedge
6 drops .12 grams Lemonade
4 drops .08 grams Sour Apple
4 drops .08 grams Sweetness
4 drops .08 grams Cool Menthol* Optional

Absolutely perfect after sitting up all night, and gets even better after a few days. I like to add my cool menthol a night before I am ready to really vape this one out. It’s really good fresh, and keeps a chill on this drink vape, just the way I like it!

Biscotti

Now this one, biscotti, I think is wrapped up in disguise! Taken too high, it can become a smoky burnt cookie cake! No joke, I can see this used in a few nuts and tobacco recipes, easy! Let me start out by saying with this one, aim low! I made up my bottles for this one, using my normal amounts, 3 drops .06 grams, 6 drops .12 grams and 9 drops .18 grams. You would know the first one I grabbed was the 9 drops and omg! Talk on the taste I got! Wow!

3 drops, its good, a cake floating in coffee, twice baked, just like a biscotti is supposed to taste like, to me. 6 drops, it starts to show signs that it can and will overpower anything you toss in with it.  9 drops, just do not go there, unless you want to change coil cotton and super clean your tank or dripper!

Don’t take me wrong, biscotti, despite me not liking it beyond 4-6 drops in 10mls,¬†is very very good, and I am sure someone out there can come up with eve more recipes with this surprising flavor.

So here I go, Pumpkin Spiced Biscotti 30ml

3 drops .06 grams Biscotti
6 drops .12 grams Pumpkin Spice
6 drops .12 grams White Chocolate
6 drops .12 grams Cheesecake
3 drops .06 grams Vanilla Custard
3 drops .06 grams Sweetness**
3 drops .06 grams Yogurt

Now this, is a close one for me, as a all day taste. (I don’t have an all day, I can’t stick to just one taste, at all.) Complete yummy in a bottle, just watch it around your friends, they may like it more than I do! The sweetness is optional, I like it a touch on the sweet side, that way it goes nice with my coffee in the mornings!

If you enjoy this one, let me know!

Berry Cheesecake

Grab a fork, you will need it for this berry cheesecake, but before you do, let me give you my impressions on this flavor! First, doing my bottle runs, the berry blend in this really stands out, in a good way!  As I raised up the flavor from 3 drops .06 grams, to 6 drops .12 grams, the cheesecake, after sitting for a few days, could be more. Would I go higher than 6 drops in 10ml? No. This flavor used as high amounts, will turn funky. At least it is my impression!

So how to use this flavor, with respect! haha!! Here is what I did to tame the berry cheesecake and turn it into something just mouth melting!

Fan Girl’s Berry Cheesecake

12 drops .24 grams Berry Cheesecake
6 drops .12 grams Cheesecake
6 drops .12 grams Yogurt
3 drops .06 grams Pineapple
3 drops .06 grams Cookie
3 drops .06 grams Crunch Cereal

Now this is much better than the solo flavor, to me. The extra cheesecake builds up the cheesecake, while the yogurt provides more twang, with support from the pineapple, helping both the tangy tart berries and the cheesecake. The cookie and crunch cereal blend nice to give an illusion of a soft crust, once fully blended. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do! Yum! Oh and sometimes, I like to spike it with a drop .02 grams of Bourbon! but get your own fork, please!

Berry Blend

Berry blend, is really a good mix and the things I have done with this one amaze me.¬†One mix right after the other, smooth, sweet, tart, bold, light, and tangy, it’s got it all wrapped up inside the bottle!

What to do with all this berry goodness? Well, mix with it, of course! From water, to jello and cookies, even cakes and e juice, there is no limit with berry blend! I took it from 3 drops up to 9 drops in my 10ml bottles. At 3 drops (.06 grams) , it’s a light mixed berry, nice but could be stronger. 6 drops (.18 grams) was very good, fresh berries just bursting in my mouth, and it was closer to the edge when you can pick up something funky; might want to keep this one closer between 3-6 drops in any given recipe, as 8 drops was too much funk! ūüôā

Mixed berry Yogurt Bars 30ml

12 drops .24 grams Berry Blend
12 drops .24 grams Yogurt
9 drops .18 grams Sour Apple
6 drops .12 grams Cheesecake
6 drops .12 grams Cool Menthol*
3 drops .06 grams Coconut

This is one of my favorite go to recipes, and for me, it’s a perfect yogurt bar! To thicken it up and give a good mouth feel, you might want to add 6 drops crunch cereal, as well as 6 drops marshmallow. If you like cool pops, the cool menthol will behave as a cool feel, but for colder, up to around 9 drops .18 grams. Do not add the cool menthol until a the day before you want to try this, as cool menthol does have a habit of fading out after a week or more+, at least for me.

Beer Nuts

This flavor is just not your average beer nuts, I can tell you that! Sweet salty nuts with a just a hint of ale, and a hidden surprising plot twist is what this flavor is made of. Let me tell you a few of my adventures with this fantastic flavor!

First I I opened it, I know I was a goner! Nutty caramel (Where is the ale? wait!) smell just hit my nose and I was hooked, just by nose! I knew I better start low, so yes, I did my drops (1 drop = .02 grams/.02ml) starting at 2 drops in 10ml, going up to 4, 6 and 9 drops.

I let them sit up for a couple days, I couldn’t wait any longer! At 2 drops, it was really light, I picked up a really light caramel-ish type taste, but that was all.. ¬†sad but I gave me a few hours, cottoned up my coils and dove in again! ¬†4 drops, I remembered the small secret that a few of us old timers know, AP 5% and (you can snag that here!)
2 drops ap (.04 grams), and there she was, Pretzel! Oh my! it was not a nut, but more of a caramel pretzel. I had to go back and check the bottle, but it must have been the ap that did this, at this level, for me.

So, after a break, I came back and tried the 6, less caramel (still noticeable, but not like the 4 drops) and the nut starts to show up. I added the ap again, but it increased the nut and no more pretzel for me! At 9 drops (.18 grams) it is a full blown beer nut, sweet,¬†but a chemical note in 10ml. So…

The ale and how to bring it out! Ready? So I played with this and have more than a few recipes for this totally cool flavor, and I found by adding in some sweet dough, and some Yakima hops, I could get that yeasty ale taste into the beer nuts.. Here is my recipe for that:

Beer Nuts 30ml

12 drops .24 grams Beer Nuts
9 drops .18 grams Sweet Dough
6 drops .12 grams Mango
6 drops .12 grams Yakima Hops

Let this sit up for about 3 days and dig in, love to see what others think of this one. I might release my Beer Nut Shake at a later date. ūüôā
