Rants and Raves

Like to Like

This is just a side note, something I have known for a long time. Sure opposites attract, but not always in mixing flavorings 🙂 6/23/2020

I want to talk about our Flavorah, and the concept idea I run with. Using like to like.  Being conscious of what you are mixing and why.

I find in mixing, you want the best possible outcomes. Everyone does! It is why more than a few mixes with the so-called standard flavors*, and love them, or a few people like me, only wanting to mix with the ultras. Sometimes people mix Flaovrah with the standard flavors. While I do not think it is wrong, it’s just not right. Let me explain why.

When you have an ultra flavor, it has certain characteristics. How strong, or how vibrant a flavor can be. Am I wrong? I do not think I am.. so on with the post!

Even tho opposites attract, when using flavor pairings, you want to stick with like.
I will not go to the popular calculator sites and just pull a recipe, so I won’t. You can run this simple test by yourself if you’d like and have the flavors.
Using Flavorah paired with TFA, work your solos first!!
Let’s pick Apple and Strawberry, and this is where I enjoy the flavors:

1% Strawberry FLV
1.2% Apple FLV
3% Green Apple TFA
3% Ripe Strawberry TFa

Now if you broke those into solos and found your “spot” where you like them, the recipe for me would look like the one above.

Notice here how much higher I had to go with tfa compared to the flv. Does it really add depth? It might, I concede, but not by much. Other cases, standards have been known to drown out the ultras too.

Meantime and if you have the flavors, try this

1% Strawberry FLV
.2% Apple FLV
.4% Strawberry MF*
.6% Apple, Green MF*

Medicine Flower is yet another ultra concentrate. It is processed much differently than Flavorah, (see below) but it is considered a “like”. Notice the amounts I used here are minimal, and yes it too can “flesh out” or add more depth. Common sense here says for as little as one uses, this would be a better workable solution.

I normally only promote Flavorah, but if you insist on using other flavor companies, keep in mind again, the like to like, as it makes a much better blend of flavors for your ejuice. It’s plain to see. It tastes even better. Remember to work your solos, starting with just 2 drops (.04g) in 10ml and work up from where you start to taste, to where you find you enjoy the flavors you are working with.

 *Standard flavor companies:

Lorann
The Flavor Apprentice
Capella
Flavour Art
Wonder Flavors
VTA

Ultra Flavor companies commonly known:
Flavorah
Medicine flower
Baker’s Flavors
BF’s SC flavors

Medicine flower, altho not proven vape safe, has been used for years now in the vape community. It, along with Baker’s Flavors and the commonly known BF line “SC concentrate” found on certain reseller websites are all considered “ultras”.  By my experiments, I work fantastic with Flavorah flavors. This website, however, is for Flavorah only.

There are no limits or wrong ways, but I ask that sometimes you think outside the box that you place yourself in. Start with limits and get to know the flavors from one manufacture that you are working with, and only then, expand your flavor manufacturers. I picked Flavorah over anything, and I always will. Quality over anything else comes first to me. Knowing what to match what to what tho, will help your mixes turn out better than you know! I hope that you keep experimenting and having fun with your vape!
