Creme De Menthe

Straight from Ireland and bottled fresh, Creme De Menthe is perfect. It is a spot on, light, fluffy cream, with that chocolate taste you will never forget. I was raised on a lot of the mint creams from my Grandmother and she is the one that taught me an appreciation for not just the mints, but good chocolate, too! If you are looking for an authentic flavor, this is the one you need. If you are not a fan of creme de menthe, just let me know when you will send it to me! Will gladly take it off your hands! 🙂

When I first got a hold of this one, from the first smell, I wanted to down the entire bottle. Why not?! But let me break this down on my approach. Yes, back to those 10ml bottles, please!. First, I ran it from 2 drops .04 grams up to 8 drops .16 grams. Yes, please, thank you so very much, 8 drops! So on my discovery at 2 drops .04 grams, its there, very light in the background after a 12 hour sit time. eh.. not what I want! 4 drops .08 grams I can taste it rather well (again, 12 hour sit time, separate bottles!!) and start thinking on the recipe I want to share. Why is that so hard on my favorite flavors, to find sometime simple, but yet will make the flavors stand out, even tho they are simple recipes? Dunno! Anyways, at 6 drops .12 grams in 10mls, is just no! To me it turns funky, like a fake taste, made well, but the tell tell signs it wont be prettier if I keep it here. Then finally, at 8 drops .16 grams, yeah just no; so my best use is going to be between 3 drops and around 5 drops in a good recipe, for a 10ml.  Now onto the recipe..

Coffee Grasshopper 30ml

12 drops .24 grams Creme De Menthe
6 drops .12 grams Coffee
12 drops .24 grams Whipped cream

That simple! Refreshing, creamy taste, with the coffee in the background. Perfect for a summertime wet morning wake up call.
I do recommend at least a 2 day sit time, only so that the flavors can relax and mingle together. Just remember, shake and dont stir!

Cookies and Cream

Grab a spoon, dig in for Cookies and Cream, because this is one of my latest fascinations of flavors! Due to the fun things I discovered about this flavor mixed with others.. I wonder if I have anyone willing to explore this one and find out if I am right on spot! I can say it is a basic cookie and cream type, not exactly a dark oreo cookie bit.

Running this flavor at 4 drops .08 grams in 10mls gives me a good cream base with a hint of cookie, and if I raise it to 6 drops .12 grams, there it is, a delicious tasting flavor, while at 8 drops .16 grams its very heavy and just obnoxiously cookie and cream. I’d be leary of it at this amount for muting or chem trailing out on me.

Nana’s Cream Cookies 30ml

12 drops .24 grams Cookies and Cream
3 drops .06 grams Cookie
6 drops .12 grams Persimmon
9 drops .18 grams Cream
6 drops .12 grams Custard
4 drops .08 grams Vicious Vanillin
4 drops .08 grams Sour Pucker

If you thought oreos are addicting, you need to try this one.
the C&C is exactly like the cream inside the oreo, while the cookie is supporting the c&c, lending even more cookie to my recipe, so you get all the notes from both, tied together. The Persimmon lends sweetness, and it’s fruity hides away, while the custard top notes play with persimmon giving it a beautiful texture in your mouth. The vicious vanillin makes this a vanilla cookie and cream, while the sour, yes, sour pucker actually helps the c&c crumble apart, just like the oreo cookie does when you eat it.

Enjoy.. 😉

For those lacking in the VV and the SP, you can sub it out for just vanillin and sour, but it will not be the same.

How do you like your Cream, hot or cold, light or heavy, shaken with froth, or just on ice? I have to admit, I am a cream addict, I love the dairy flavors Flavorah has, and they did a fantastic job of only serving the best creams to us. Thank you! Now which finger to use? haha! Thick rich cream, with lots of tricks to use it, is what I know. I like to play with them most all the time, but I can burn myself out. Hard to believe, but they are just that good!

When testing, I just jumped in on this flavor and went full out, from 2 drops .04 grams all the way up to 8 drops .16 grams in 10ml bottles, and of course, I snagged the biggest one first. Right off the bat, I knew I had a decent cream to work with, but.. I got the thick cream, with that buttery edge to it, and no lower notes. I knew I had it too high. If that is ever a possibility, but it is. At 2 drops .04 grams in 10mls I picked up a creamy milky light light taste, and it was good, just not enough. At 4 drops .08 grams I got a good rich cream, milky, and can see bits of coconut shavings, and fruits being dipped into it. At 6 drops .12 grams it was a bit much like the real deal, almost with buttery notes, and the start of what I recognize now as the chemical notes on the back starting to appear; I didn’t get that at the 8 drops.. but it was there for me at 6 drops.. go figure. 🙂

Peaches and Cream! 30ml

9 drops .18 grams Peach
6 drops .12 grams Peach Gummy
6 drops .12 grams Mango
9 drops .18 grams Cream
6 drops .12 grams Custard

A simple peaches and cream, just like here, down south in the summer! It’s just a good way to ease a craving for sweet peaches, and rich cream! You could add in some cinnamon, caramel, and cool menthol.. and if I were you, i’d make this in a 4oz size!

Cherimoya is the next flavor up for today. Honestly, if I listen to how it is like a custard with apple, the more I laugh! Yes you can taste an apple custard, if you have it up too high, for reals! However, when I tested this one particular flavor out, not sure why I did this, but I had my rda dripper coiled at .05 ohms, a semi loose coil, and I had my watts at 35, I didn’t get much of an apple custard type taste at all. I got a blend of light fruits like banana, pineapple, papaya, peach, and strawberry. I even think I might have had some persimmon in there too. Really tropical, juicy, not over done, just a bunch of good mixed fruits.. and if there was any custard in there, extremely light tasting. How did I come up with this? I used it at 6 drops .12 grams, in my 10ml bottle. Why? Because I want to test out how the flavor would taste, if someone with not much experience mixing, was playing with this gorgeous flavor.

I thought being as it was a lighter smelling flavor, I would start this one at 6 drops, and run it up to around 16 drops. I enjoyed the 6 drops, even as light as it is, but at 9 drops, I picked up even more of the mixed tropical fruit taste, not too bad at all, and keep thinking I need a larger bottle of this one, just to play with more. Here is the kicker, at 12 drops, I noticed some flavor change after a overnight sit. Was it bad? No, not really, but I could tell there was a flavor change upcoming. at 16 drops and in my tank on a .25 ohm, using 65 watts, there it is, more creamy custard, and I will be jiggly, the hints of apple.. hmm.. I ended up losing the bottle of 16 drops and found it a few days ago, not much change, but it was an apple custard, with the start of a funky background. The coolest thing I think, is the way the real fruit grows, sort of like an apple, but it’s a bit white, and big black seeds you can easy pick out. (Seeds aren’t good to eat!) So.. even tho I did up a simple recipe, I still want to tinker with this one. it made it to the get a bigger bottle to play with list!

Cherimoya Ice Cream

9 drops .18 grams Cherimoya
6 drops .12 grams Cream
3 drops .06grams Marshmallow

If you have any vanillin, add a bit here, but keep it low, as this is a very light flavor to begin with. I enjoy it just as it is, plain and simple is sometimes a really good change up!

Blood Orange

OMG!! Finally, my favorite out of everything, blood orange!! Then again, I say this about almost every flavor! I do have a few I have to sit back and say, do I really want to claim this as a favorite? ha!
So, with all that said, let me get right down with this flavor, as it is one of the best representations of the citrus family, with it’s lush bright orange, the bloody sweetness, and the almost candy tones of this one.

Going thru my ranges again, at 2 drops .06 grams, its light but good! Easy on the mouth, but you will need to raise it more! At 4 drops .08 grams, it’s a fantastic blood orange being on the verge of juices running into your mouth, and at 6 drops .12 grams, look out!
9 drops .18 grams, you can probably make aspirin, that chewable kind, combined with Tangerine. Remember, less is more and it doesn’t take much with these flavors, at all! So, let’s see what recipe I can share..

Blood Orange Cake Batter 30ml

12 drops .24 grams Blood Orange
9 drops .18 grams Cake Batter
6 drops .12 grams Red Raspberry
6 drops .12 grams Vanilla Pudding
6 drops .12 grams Caramel
6 drops .12 grams Cheesecake

Let sit for at least a few days, but after a overnight sit you can try it out. Just remember to stop after a taste or two, or you will find yourself with an empty bottle. Go big or stay home!
Not responsible for empty bottles!

Note: I like to add in pineapple, 1-2 drops, to make this pop. it’s optional!

Edit: 5/23/2017 Yet another recipe I want to share!! It’s really simple yet so good!

blood orange basil
Blood Orange Basil Cocktail
12 drops .24 grams Blood Orange
3 drops .06 grams Cotton candy
2 drops .04 grams Marshmallow
6 drops .12 grams Cream
3 drops .06 grams Basil

This is simple, fresh and omg too good. If you want, you can add 1-2 drops of bourbon to this too, for a more realistic cocktail taste. The basil just makes this all come about, so cool calm and a touch of spice.. it’s really a must try! 🙂
